Data centre - Support frames for electrical trays and pipes
The challenge
The hospital's data center, the central nervous system of modern healthcare operations, demanded a reliable and efficient system. The client faced the daunting challenge of installing a robust bus duct while accounting for Chile's seismic risk, necessitating a structure capable of withstanding earthquakes.
CELO solution
To meet these requirements, we presented the client with a range of different products suited for their needs. Our SH strut wall support, strut profiles, and angle brackets for strut ESC 4-4 were designed for quick installation on metal beams.
These solutions ensured not only secure installations but also streamlined cable management--a necessaity for uninterrupted data flow, facilitating seamless communication throughout the hospital's network.
To strengthen the frame against seismic forces, we incorporated four angled strut profiles, joined together with the break piece, reinforcing the upper beam and the lower part of the strut frame. This innovative approach not only strengthened the data center's resilience but also speed up the installation process, saving invaluable time.
External wall - Waterproof membrane installation
The challenge
Chile's diverse climate also demanded a robust waterproofing system to protect the hospital's exterior walls from the elements. To do this they applied a waterproof membrane to the entire outside wall. Due to the large scale of 80,000 square meters that they would need to apply this to, our clients were looking for a quicker solution to the powder-powered nailers they were originally using.
CELO solution
We introduced them to the FORCE ONE gas nailer, XHA premium nails and AW washers. The FORCE ONE is the most powerful tool in its class and is powered by a gas fuel cell, allowing a quicker and stronger release of the nail. Complete with premium XHA nails with ballistic-shaped tips, this allowed the installation to be completed 2 times quicker than when using their old tool.
HVAC system - Support for pipes and tubes
The challenge
Healthcare facilities rely heavily on effective heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to maintain optimal indoor air quality and temperature providing a comfortable environment for the well-being of patients, staff and visitors.
To ensure the stability of HVAC structures they needed to make sure they used clamps which can withstand wide-ranging temperatures.
CELO solution
A swing-type solution is projected consisting of a 41x41x960mm strut profile fixed with two PMV beam clamps and two M8 threads, the pipes are supported by an RI clamp fixed with EPS to the strut profile.
The RI clamp comes with an anti-ageing silicon rubber lining and has remarkable temperature resistance, ranging from -50ºC to +110ºC, making it ideal for heating pipes within an HVAC system.
This comprehensive solution ensured both the stability and longevity of the HVAC system components, ultimately saving substantial installation time.
